PHARMALIPON

General information

PHARMALIPON is a certified and officially registered medicine in Ukraine that favorably affects the digestive tract and improves metabolic processes in the body. Thioctic acid, which is part of the medicine, is a strong antioxidant, which helps to reduce the level of liver enzymes. In modern pharmaceuticals and medicine, this substance is used for pain syndrome treatment and paresthesia associated with diabetic polyneuropathy. The medicine’s therapeutic efficacy is improved through the use of innovative formulations that provide increased solubility and absorption of thioctic acid in the intestine. Today, medicine is actively used for the treatment of neurological disorders, including diabetic polyneuropathy – a decrease in sensitivity in the peripheral nerve endings. Researchers are studying the usage of the medicine in patients with other diseases, including gastroenterological.

Composition

1. Thioctic acid – 30 mg per 1 mg of solution, 600 mg per vial.

Excipients: meglumine, macrogol 300, water for injection.

Indications

Paresthesia in diabetic polyneuropathy.

Application

The medicine administered intravenously in the form of a drip infusion. Dosage – 600 mg of thioctic acid per day. In this case, 20 ml of the medicine is diluted in 50-250 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The duration of the medicine administration should be at least 30 minutes. After preparing the solution, it must be applied immediately using black light-protective bags. The duration of the treatment initial course is 7-14 days. Further, maintenance therapy with medicine’s usage in other dosage forms can be prescribed.

Important to know: there is no data on medicine's usage in children, pregnant women or during lactation, so the medicine can’t be prescribed for this patient’s category.
